Roof Safety Recertification

Annual roof safety recertification, done properly.

Roof access and fall protection systems must be inspected and re-certified every 12 months. We inspect every system, map your roof with a drone survey and issue your certificate within the same week.

Why Every 12 Months

A current certificate protects your people and your property.

Roof safety systems work in harsh conditions. Regular inspection is how you know they will still work when someone needs them.

01

Systems wear and degrade

Weather, corrosion, UV and movement affect anchor points, static lines, ladders and fixings. Problems are found in an inspection, not after an incident.

02

Duty of care

Anyone who manages or controls a workplace must manage the risk of falls. A current certificate and inspection report is your record of doing so.

03

Contractors rely on it

Every tradesperson who steps onto your roof relies on the systems being safe. Current certification and a clear layout drawing keep them, and you, covered.

03

Drone layout drawing

A scaled aerial drawing showing anchor points, static lines, walkways and hazards, so every contractor knows where it is safe to walk.

04

Overdue for inspection?

If your roof safety and access systems have not been inspected in the last 12 months, roof access should be prohibited until they have been inspected and certified.

Questions

Roof safety recertification, answered.

How often does a roof need to be recertified?

Roof access and fall protection systems should be inspected and re-certified at least every 12 months. Some systems have manufacturer requirements that are stricter, and we note these in your report.

What happens if my roof fails the inspection?

Your report lists every defect with a risk rating, photographs and a recommended fix. Any affected system should not be used until the defect is rectified. We can quote the rectification work, then re-inspect and issue your certificate once the system passes.

Do you recertify systems installed by someone else?

Yes. We inspect roof access and fall protection systems whoever installed them, including systems from installers that have closed or changed hands.

What do I receive after the inspection?

A detailed inspection report with photographs and risk-rated defects, a scaled roof safety layout drawing from a drone survey, and a Certificate of Compliance when your systems pass. Your next inspection date is set at the same time.

How long does it take?

The site visit depends on the size of the roof and the number of systems. Your report, drawing and certificate are delivered within the same week.

Do you load test anchor points?

Yes. We carry out anchor load testing for concrete-fixed systems. Tell us what is installed and we will confirm the testing requirements in your quote.

Where do you work?

We service commercial and strata properties across Sydney, the Central Coast, the Hunter Valley and South Australia.

How much does recertification cost?

It depends on the number of buildings, the size of the roof and the systems installed. Send us the property address and we will provide a no-obligation quote.
